The last twice the Rising Stars have met we have looked at differences between life in Scotland and Malawi.
First we looked at the differences in foodstuffs and made a display for our noticeboard called “Are you a food waster?”
Next we looked at the importance of having clean water. We looked up some of the work of the Wateraid Charity and saw just how lucky we are in Scotland to have access to clean water.
Check out our wall display near the Head Teacher’s Office for further information.
Due to popular demand we are keeping Fruity Friday going for longer.
We worked in groups looking at things we liked and disliked about our lunch times.
We also came up with suggestions of how to improve things. Check these out on our wall display.
The Fruity Bunch have written a jingle to encourage everyone in Lochardil to take part in Fruity Fridays.
FRUITY FRIDAY IS THE BEST
BETTER THAN ALL THE REST
EATING FRUIT IS SO GOOD
AND YOU KNOW YOU SHOULD!
We are planning to have a Fruity Friday,
Anyone who eats a piece of fruit at playtime any Friday in November will earn a house point.
Check out our Rising Stars display in the corridor for further information.
Our aim is to promote a healthy lifestyle for everyone in Lochardil Primary School.
We will try to find ways to encourage people to
- Eat healthy food
- Drink more water
- Take exercise
- Have fun!
If you have any suggestions for the Rising Stars Team then please speak to one of the group.
